About Camps

Week-long musical theater days camps are offered during the summer months for students ages 4-18. Camps are designed to create a hands-on theater experience, and are focused on building performance skills, self-confidence, and teamwork.

Typical camps include team competitions, rotations through drama, dance, music, and craft workshops, a daily theme-related devotional, and an impressive concluding showcase for family and friends.

There’s no better place for kids to learn about theater and have fun than in CYT’s positive and encouraging atmosphere - and every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage!

Counselors

Camp staff includes professional local artists, CYT Production Artistic Teams, and theater specialists. These counselors are high energy, experienced, and love working with kids! CYT aims to hire counselors who are great role models for our students. All CYT counselors have been background checked and adhere to our CYT Mission and Values.

Themes

Each week of camp features an original & creative theme, and the concluding Showcase is centered around it! Themes vary from year to year and change depending on age group.

Showcase

At the end of camp, students perform in a showcase that they have rehearsed for over the course of their fun-filled week. Parents get to come watch their kids perform the material they have learned in just a short week free of charge! Showcase is a celebration of the week’s work and give kids a glimpse into the energy and excitement of being part of a full CYT production.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Summer Camp Refund Policy:

If any camp is canceled for low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.

Day camps: Moana and Friends and Camp Villainous
Cancel 4 weeks or more before camp starts, full refund less $25 admin fee
Cancel 3-4 weeks before camp starts, 50 percent refund, less $25 admin fee
Cancel 2-3 weeks before camp starts, 25 percent refund, less $25 admin fee
Less than 2 weeks before camp starts, no refund.

Summer Show: Finding Nemo Jr
Cancel 4 weeks or more before camp starts, full refund less $25 admin fee
Cancel 3-4 weeks before camp starts, 50 percent refund, less $25 admin fee
Cancel 2-3 weeks before camp starts, 25 percent refund, less $25 admin fee
Less than 2 weeks before camp starts, no refund.

Teen camp:
Cancel before May 1, 2022 - a 75 percent refund less $25 admin fee
Cancel before June 1, 2022 - a 50 percent refund less $25 admin fee
Cancel before July 1, 2022 - a 25 percent refund less $25 admin fee
Cancel July 1st and later - no refund

A transfer from one camp to another, based on availability, will incur a $25 transfer fee.

Camps cancelled by Acts of God (natural disaster, pandemic, etc.) are out of our control and refunds will not be made.
