Class Description

The ‘triple threat’ is a title given to performers who excel in singing, acting, and dancing This class is dedicated to helping your student learn all basic elements of all three important musical theater skills. Students will learn music and acting with instructor, Anna Kilbride. Then, students will take ballet and jazz dance class with choreographer, Lori Courtney.

Anna Kilbride

Director-- Anna Kilbride graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Acting. Anna is currently CYT Atlanta’s Artistic Director. She has worked with CYT for 10 years in roles including teacher, musical director, director, show coordinator and camp coordinator. She has worked with several professional theater companies including Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre and Syracuse Stage. During her time in college Anna was trained in musical theater and acting, studied Shakespeare at the Globe Stage in London, won the Sawyer Faulk Leadership Award, and had an original one act play produced at Armory Square Theater of Syracuse. Since the age of eight, she has enjoyed performing onstage and her favorite credits include ‘Celia’ in As You Like It, ‘ Louisa’ in The Fantasticks, and ‘Adelaide’ in Guys and Dolls.


Lori Courtney

Lori Courtney began her journey of dance and entertaining at the wee age of two and a half in her native Iowa. She is an alumna of Catawba College in North Carolina, where she graduated with a B.A. in Musical Theater and a Minor in Dance. She has since been blessed to travel the world performing for many years, starting with a National Tour of “42nd Street”. Lori sang and danced her way through many professional theaters nationwide, playing such roles as Laurie in “OKLAHOMA!” and Patsy in “Crazy for You”. Her professional life went international when she starred in “The Holland America Cruise Lines’ Music and Dance Reviews” throughout Europe, the Caribbean and South America. Lori has been thrilled to continue to follow her passion and expand her craft producing and directing over large at events at Mount Pisgah. She considers her loving family, her husband Tom and their two sons Jackson and Colin, her greatest success!
