Description

CYT is excited to announce that we will be taking a team of students to Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta to perform a 15 minute cut of Finding Nemo Jr. Junior Theater Festival is a weekend that celebrates theater at the Cobb Galleria. Events include: Adjudications, workshops for students and teachers, the New Works Showcase, Awards Ceremonies, specially curated mainstage productions featuring Broadway's finest, and the largest collection of musical theater lovers under one roof. Students aged 10-18 are invited to audition for this amazing event. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:00pm at Valor Christian Academy. If you are unable to attend auditions, then you may send a video audition to akilbride@cytatlanta.org by Monday, October 2nd.  We ask that everyone sing from the show. Audition material is provided in the sign up google form.

JTF Performing Student Fees:
Production Fee--$295—Covers artistic team pay, rehearsal space, insurance, rights, overhead, etc.
JTF Participation Fee--$335—This is your ticket to the event
Hotel Costs—TBA—we are still finalizing hotel costs

Anna Kilbride

Director-- Anna Kilbride graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Acting. Anna is currently CYT Atlanta’s Artistic Director. She has worked with CYT for 10 years in roles including teacher, musical director, director, show coordinator and camp coordinator. She has worked with several professional theater companies including Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre and Syracuse Stage. During her time in college Anna was trained in musical theater and acting, studied Shakespeare at the Globe Stage in London, won the Sawyer Faulk Leadership Award, and had an original one act play produced at Armory Square Theater of Syracuse. Since the age of eight, she has enjoyed performing onstage and her favorite credits include ‘Celia’ in As You Like It, ‘ Louisa’ in The Fantasticks, and ‘Adelaide’ in Guys and Dolls.

Jennifer Jordan

Director/Musical Director-- A classically trained singer, soprano Jenn Jordan has a background in early music and opera. After graduating from Clayton State University as a Spivey Scholar, she performed throughout the Southeast as a historical performance specialist, and as a freelance soloist. Jenn sang for several seasons with the Atlanta Opera, and worked as a staff singer at several Atlanta churches. After discovering her true passions to be teaching and directing, Jenn began teaching voice at private schools and through her home studio. Jenn is the Director of Middle and Lower School Drama at the Wesleyan School, and she maintains an active private voice studio. She is Director of Music at Christ Church Episcopal, and is founding director of the Christ Church Players. Jenn also is an Assistant Director and vocal coach for the Grammy Award-winning Gwinnett Young Singers (both Concert Choir and Treble Choir) and she freelances as a singer/music director.
