Students selected for the JTF troupe will participate in a one-week summer intensive, July 20–24, where we will learn and stage our adjudication piece. During this week, students will learn blocking, choreography, and music, as well as participate in team-building activities designed to strengthen our troupe and prepare for this unique performance experience. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CAMP IS STUDENT'S COMMITMENT TO THE TROUPE AND PARTICIPATION IN THE JTF EVENT AND COMMITMENT TO ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION.  ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Additional rehearsals will take place in the fall, followed by a short rehearsal week prior to the festival in January to polish the piece before performance.

This intensive is required for all students cast in the JTF troupe.

🎭 About Junior Theater Festival

The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is the world’s largest celebration of young people performing musical theatre.
JTF Atlanta will take place January 15–17, 2027 at the Cobb Galleria Centre, with CYT Atlanta tentatively staying at the Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest.

Students attending JTF can expect:
  • Performance adjudication by theater industry professionals
  • Acting, vocal, and dance workshops
  • Performances by Broadway professionals
  • The opportunity to meet thousands of theater students from around the world
Each participating group performs a 15-minute adjudication piece from a Broadway Jr. show without sets, props, or microphones, creating a high-energy, highly collaborative performance experience.

Participation in JTF requires dedication, teamwork, and a strong commitment to the rehearsal process. Students selected for the troupe will work hard and grow tremendously in their acting, singing, and dancing skills.
