Description

Prepare to put your best foot forward at auditions!

In this interactive 2-hour Audition Workshop, students will build confidence and learn valuable audition techniques that can be used for any musical or theatrical audition. Participants will explore how to make bold acting choices, present themselves with confidence, and receive personalized feedback on their audition song for Seussical Jr.  This workshop will be lead by our Artistic Director, Andréa Gossett.

While many students will use this workshop to prepare for Seussical Jr., the audition skills taught are universal and will benefit performers in future auditions as well.

Students will:

  • Learn what directors look for in an audition
  • Practice making strong, confident acting choices
  • Receive individual feedback on their audition song
  • Gain audition tips and techniques to help them stand out
  • Build confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment
Please Note: This is a special workshop and does not count as a CYT class. Students wishing to audition for Seussical Jr. must also be enrolled in a CYT Fall class or the Friday Show Rehearsal Track in order to be eligible to audition.
