Description
Summer show is a great opportunity for students to experience a fast-paced rehearsal process. This is a two week long camp. Students will rehearse daily for two ticketed performances of Matilda Jr. During down time, students will play games and take theatrical workshops to enhance their training. Camp runs 9:00am-3:00pm from Monday through Friday, with 2 ticketed shows on Saturday, June 29th at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Auditions for roles on Saturday, May 11 at 10:30AM.
Based on the beloved children's novel by Roald Dahl, Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!
